Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress from America. Her best-known work is her performance as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other characters include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She was enthralled by performing at the age of Preparatory after which she moved to Ohio with her family in late 1970s. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student as a student at Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the theatre industry in the Chicago area for several years prior to trying her hand at acting in television as well as films. Anna's first major role was Arden, in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. In the following years, she was the guest on a small number of television shows as well as films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue through the mid 1990's, when she was tapped on a regular basis in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. In 2008 she was also cast in the role of Skyler for the show Breaking Bad. Sully is the Deadwood film, and a few other movies have also featured her. Gunn was also on scene in David Swimmer's show Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often built around Walter White's love affair with his partner Skyler. The strained relationship and final demise mirror the tragedy of Walter White.
